“We are beyond grateful for this beautiful, giving and supportive community,” says Kay Ramachandran, Chief Executive Officer since 2013. “This remarkable health center is the result of the team from FCI Constructors and their many sub-contractors, who stayed on budget, on schedule and in constant communication with PrimeHealth+ throughout the year-long construction project.”
Ramachandran adds, “We also hold deep appreciation for Chamberlin Architects, who responded to our evolving plans and designed a health center that will allow us to provide high quality healthcare for the people of Mesa County, for many decades to come.”
Lastly, with a nod to the organization’s founders, Ramachandran emphasizes, “Throughout the new building you will notice we have dedicated our meeting rooms to venerated visionaries, founders and supporters. It is our pleasure to honor the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Saint Louise de Marillac, Mother Xavier Ross, Sister Mary Denice Sternitzke — and a former Executive Director, Steve Hurd, whose quest for healthcare innovation around integrated care created lasting impact. Keeping the legacy alive for MarillacHealth, now PrimeHealth+, is central to our identity and mission.”
PrimeHealth+ is unique because it is a one-stop healthcare destination for affordable medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy services under one roof. Although anyone can become a patient, PrimeHealth+ serves many patients with Medicaid and a growing number of patients who do not have health insurance. The health center expects to serve an additional 3,000 new patients over the next one to two years, bringing the total number served to 20,000 per year.
