Leslyn completed her nursing degree at Shenandoah University in 2012. After gaining experience in various nursing specialties, she chose to pursue advanced degrees to deepen her impact as a healthcare provider. In 2018, Leslyn earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), followed by a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2024, both from Chamberlain University. As a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), she has worked in primary care, pediatrics, urgent care, occupational health, and substance abuse treatment. These diverse experiences have helped her find purpose and affirmed her passion for caring for patients across the lifespan, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
In 2020, Leslyn relocated from Maryland to rural Colorado to continue her work as an FNP. She is drawn to this organization because its mission, vision, and values align closely with her own. Through this partnership, she aims to leverage her skills and knowledge to develop innovative strategies that enhance access to care, improve health literacy, and reduce health disparities among underserved Populations.
In her free time, Leslyn enjoys exploring Colorado’s great outdoors and connecting with new people in the community.
