A woman with light brown hair, wearing a black top and a teal lanyard, smiles while standing indoors near a white wall. Behind her is a green wall, a couch with orange pillows, and a framed picture—reflecting Affordable Health Care values.

Gretta joined the organization in 2022 as a Family Nurse Practitioner after earning her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Johns Hopkins University. Passionate about community-centered care, she thrives in the community health setting, where she can build lasting relationships with her patients and guide them through complex health and social challenges alongside her dedicated clinical staff and support team. Prior to her current role, Gretta completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Colorado Mesa University. She then went on the work in critical care which helped build her clinical skills. Concurrently, she served as associate faculty in BSN programs. Gretta has worked across a variety of clinical environments—both inpatient and outpatient settings—but prefers community health centers, where prevention, education, and holistic support are paramount. Here, she considers her work not just a profession, but a calling. A Colorado native, Gretta has called the Grand Valley home for more than a decade. When she’s not caring for patients, she can often be found perfecting a new recipe, reading a good book, trying a new exercise class, or being active outdoors. She enjoys these activities with her husband, two children, and dogs. She embraces every opportunity to stay active and connected with her community.
